In this second part of the two part course "Document Manager V8 Implementation and Administration", learn about the configuration and administration of the Document Manager Services: life cycle, rendition, notification, and automation, through a series of hands-on labs in a Windows 200x Server computing environment

In this intensive hands-on workshop, complete the implementation of a relatively complete Document Management system with full life-cycle processes, learning how to exploit the system services features of the product to enhance the overall functionality of the application. Given a detailed business case scenario (project management) and the associated requirements analysis and detailed design for the system modifications, implement these new requirements in the labs throughout the duration of the course.

This is an advanced course for Individuals who responsible for implementing and/or maintaining an IBM DB2 Document Management system.

prerequisites

You should complete:

	IBM DB2 Content Manager V8 Implementation and Administration (IM401)
	and have solid, working knowledge of DB2 Content Manger V8
	IBM DB2 Document Manager V8 Implementation and Administration (DM401)
	or development of at least one basic DM system or a customized DM demonstration for a client on your own
	You should have:
	Familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Windows NT/2000 and understand basic Windows functions
	Basic understanding of networks and content management systems
	Experience as a system administrator, system analyst, image market specialist, services specialist, consultant, or application programmer

	Review document management concepts within the context of a moderately complex business case/scenario
	Review the application of basic user-interface design concepts in the implementation of a document management system
	Understand the differences between document routing and document life cycle management
