  Module 1 - Overview of the Sun Ontario Server (WBT)

Provide an overview of the Ontario server
List the key features of the Ontario server
Provide an overview of the key technologies driving the Ontario server




  Module 2 - Physical Overview of the Sun Ontario Server (WBT)

Describe the physical characteristics of the Sun Ontario Server and its components
Identify the prerequisites for running the an Sun Ontario Server
Describe the power-on sequence




  Module 3 - Ontario server architecture (WBT)

Provide an overview of the major architectural features of the Sun Ontario server
Describe the Niagara CPU board and its architectural layout
Describe the Ontario I/O board and its architectural layout
Describe the architectural configuration of the Ontario Service Processor
Describe the remaining infrastructure board that contributes to the operation and architecture of the Sun Ontario server
Describe the overall cabling connections for the Sun Ontario server




  Module 1 - Performing FRU and CRU Replacements on the Sun Fire T2000 Server (ILT)

Identify the Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs)
Describe the prerequisite tasks you must complete before removing and replacing FRUs and CRUs
Remove and replace the FRUs and CRUs




  Module 2 - Configuring the Sun Fire T2000 Service Processor (ILT)

Describe Service Processor Communication
Describe how to boot the service processor
Set up the service processor configuration parameters
Reset the service processor
Log into the service processor over the network
Update firmware on the service processor
Control power to the system
Connect to the system console

  Module 3 - Performing the Software Installation (ILT)

Power on the server with the power-on command
Navigate between the system console and the service processor
Describe the Open Boot PROM of the server
Install the Solaris Operating System in the server
Describe Solaris OS command output on the server
Describe multipathing and the different ways to accomplish it
Perform dynamic reconfiguration




  Module 4 - Using Hardware and Firmware Tools to Diagnose and Troubleshoot Issues (ILT)

Identify hardware and firmware tools available to monitor and troubleshoot the Sun Fire T2000 server
Identify LED patterns to troubleshoot hardware problems
Configure the Sun Fire T2000 server to execute and display POST and OBP output
Analyze POST and OBP output to troubleshoot system hardware
Identify ALOM commands used to monitor and troubleshoot system issues




  Module 5 - Using Sun Standard Diagnostic Tools to Troubleshoot Issues (ILT)

Describe the fault management architecture and identify how it can be used to troubleshoot the server
Install and configure Sun VTS
Identify system logs that you can use to troubleshoot issues
Identify the Solaris OS commands to collect data and help in troubleshooting
